When I first wanted to know what the internet was I went out and bought a 'Dummies' book on what this new technology was. It wasn't long that I found out that this new machinery of communicating to others with zeros & ones was really quite old - going originally back to the 60's to retrieve information against a nuclear attack. To me,  the Internet is a network of networks occupying the good, the bad and the ugly. It still might have its teething problems today - technically, morally and socially, but hey! The real nice irony is, instead of using another technology to furthermore separate and destroy human beings, this might have brought us a little closer to understanding one another, once again.

Here are some links to other sites around the world you may be interested in discovering. Please excuse me if I've gotten a bit carried away, I know there's going to be somebody out there who's going to say it probably should be on a FTP (Fetch The Pizza) site!
